Description

Irving Sloane literally wrote the book 'Classic Guitar Construction' that many builders used to learn their trade. Here we have a rare example from 1985, just after he published the book. This Indian Rosewood and Spruce guitar plays beautifully and puts forth a clear and articulate voice with notes that blossom beautifully after the string is struck and then linger with a long and lush sustain. There is also great power in the upper registers and every fret sings. A great instrument from a legendary luthier.

This guitar recorded beautifully, so clear over the entire fingerboard. Irving Sloane, creator of Sloane Tuning Machines and author of the famous book 'Classic Guitar Construction', is obviously a superb Luthier, but this guitar is tangible proof. I love the project it has up and down the neck and I really appreciate the incredible sustain. It's great to see one of Irving's guitars in person and we just love it.
