Description

Joe Veillette's shop churns out some unique pieces, that's for sure--and this Grand 16" 12-string is no exception! This 12-string manages to combine the easy playabiilty of a Stella-style 12-string with the drive and attack of a fixed bridge flattop, thanks in part to the 13 fret neck (for reduced string tension) and Maple back and sides (for dry, punchy tone) and Sitka Spruce top. Tuned up to E standard, this guitar belts it out with a strong, vigorous voice. Flat picks have the floor here: solos and fiddle tunes are expressive and easy to pick out, with the easy tension of the strings. Add to that a D-Tar pickup and soundport, and you've got a powerhouse concert instrument in your hands.

Joe's got the corner of the market of double-string instruments; he knows what he's doing when he gives us a 12-string guitar! This baby's loud and expressive, but isn't just a wash of sound like a lesser 12-string.

Nice jangling 12-string sound and easy playability make this a special guitar. The pickup system is amazing and the guitar design makes it less likely to feedback at high volumes. Great live performance instrument.
