Description

Here we have another incredible instrument from Kim Walker of K.C. Walker Guitars. This one is an SJ, or Small Jumbo, which is a medium body-sized guitar who's shape is inspired by the Gibson J200 design. Fusing a familiar design with impeccable craftsmanship and the absolute finest woods available, Kim has struck upon what can only be considered the Holy Grail of tone. An absolutely flawless Adirondack Spruce top marries perfectly with the one-of-a-kind, Birdseye Brazilian Rosewood, yielding luscious, sparkling notes that leap from within, dance, and bloom before slowly fading. An inspirational instrument of the highest order.

Kim Walker's guitars are some of the most sought after in the country, and this is a great example why. The voice of this SJ is wonderful in every way, from that quick, midrange punchiness only found in Adirondack tops, to the huge, bell-like, low-end courtesy of the incredible Birdseye Brazilian Rosewood. The playability of all Kim Walker guitars is second-to-none, and this one seems to play itself. I love it!

This guitar is definitely in the top ten that I've played at Dream Guitars. The tone is absolutely perfect and the birdseye Brazilian rosewood is some of the best I've ever seen. On top of all that, it practically plays itself and it is super responsive to light or heavy playing. I want this one and would have figured out a way to get it, if I was in the market for another guitar.
