Description

The first thing you need to know is that this Williams Kiwi guitar features one of the most rare tonewoods on the planet. It is Ancient Kauri with 'Whitebait' figuring. These monsterous trees only grow in the far north of New Zealand and have been reclaimed from peat swamps where they have been preserved for thousands of years. Read more about this fascinating wood here, http://www.guitars.co.nz/back_sides.html. In our opinion it is one of the most beautiful woods being used on modern instruments. This Laurie Williams Kiwi model is his mid-size guitar fully bound in Cocobolo Rosewood and adorned with fine lines of Paua Abalone for a subtle elegance that lets the wood shine. The voice is unique and mesmerizing thanks to the Kauri woods used for the body and top. It's beauty is equalled only by the easy playability and craftsmenship.

This is a rare instrument. This one features the authentic 'Whitebait' Kauri wood. So named for it's figure that resembles a school of fish swimming in shimmering waters. It's natural golden color is unique among woods and simply stunning. This one has been well kept by it's one owner and we are delighted to see it again.

Another fine Williams guitar. The tone is punchy and clear and works well with fingers or flatpick. The bass and mids are clear without any "woof" and the high overtones are pristine and sparkly.
