It doesn’t get much better than this. Our Grand 00 from GR Bear is an absolute monster–powerful depth and range, clarity, and dynamism in one package. Pernambuco back and sides with Lutz Spruce top, modern aesthetics with the headstock profile and slanted fingerboard extension, then there’s the falcate bracing pattern for the top and silky setup. The world needs more guitars like this GR Bear Grand 00.

This is the fourth G.2 that Mike built in collaboration with Guitar Gal for Robin’s Special Reserve series–pulling out the stops for a showstopper piece. The G.2 is Mike’s Grand Auditorium model with its 16″ lower bout and heaps of power, here boasting a combination of 200-year-old Brazilian Rosewood with a 30-year-old Alpine Moonspruce top. To say this guitar is rib-rattling feels like an understatement. It’s had a few years to break in and wake up, which it’s done handsomely, and is ready for more. Very well-cared for to boot, this Greenfield looks and feels as good as it sounds, and that’s a high bar.

From 2009, we have a Berkowitz Baritone made of some outrageously nice Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce on top. This classic fingerstyle tonewood combo really comes to life in the lower baritone register of this instrument. Quite often, a bespoke baritone guitar has a huge sound, but it also feels cumbersome, which can be a bit too much for some. This Baritone, however, plays much like a regular scale guitar. Speaking of which, this axe has a multi-scale: 28.625″ on the bass end and 27.5″ on the high end. Already equipped with a D-TAR magnetic pickup, this guitar is ready for the stage and studio. Along with bevels for comfort, this guitar features a Manzer-style wedge, which we absolutely love for large body guitars. Check out our demo and see this creature for yourself.

Huber electric guitars bring us this absolute beast of an electric. It’s rare to find an electric guitar with a sound that isn’t easily categorized in the Gibson or Fender camp, yet this guitar seems to break that mold. With a mahogany flat top body and a Black Onyx Matte finish, it also features a wraparound bridge—if you’re a Les Paul enthusiast, you know that means even more sustain than you can imagine.
A custom Huber-made P-90 in the neck offers a smooth and buttery clean tone that becomes ferocious when overdriven, while the Huber custom humbucker in the bridge delivers the classic PAF-style sound. This 2014 Krautster II truly has an individual quality that you don’t see in many instruments at this price point. The flamed maple neck, with its lovely chunky profile, feels as good as it sounds.
Sleek, understated aesthetics and vibe. This guitar is just plain cool—everyone here at the shop wants to take it home.

Altman just dropped off this brand new MF5, and already we’re smitten. Red Spruce top over Figured Maple body (ditto for the neck), all finished in varnish for a velvety, hand-rubbed feel in hand. 1 3/16″ nut and a smooth V profile makes for an easy and familiar experience for the left hand. From Laurent Brondel, “The 28” from 2023, a 28-style OM with the classic combo of Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce. It doesn’t get much better than this. These tonewoods, in this configuration, are the blueprint for modern fingerstyle guitar building. It’s what we expect and what we love about the medium. We’re all fans of John Slobod here at DG. His fit and finish is primo, and his voicing is clear, precise, and powerful. This is a great example of just how good you can get with classic Indian Rosewood and Spruce–already expansive and wide awake from 2020 and in gorgeous condition with herringbone trim on top à la 28-style, and a torch inlaid at the headstock with sparkling Abalone and flanked by nickel Waverly tuners. If you’re looking for a top tier 000 from one of the field’s finest, congrats! You’ve arrived.

Lynn Dudenbostel’s reputation is sterling, and for good reason: the man knows how to build ‘em right. This 2010 OM-28 is a fabulous specimen: loud and energetic, yet balanced, with slick playability all along the fretboard. Fit and finish are superb, with a great eye for detail at the miters and in the vine inlays across the fretboard. The tonewood front is the same: gorgeous woods, primo-primo quartersawn Brazilian Rosewood with Adirondack Spruce on top. A pyramid bridge and vintage-style gold Grover tuners complete the package, and this baby comes swaddled in a Calton flight case for maximum protection.

From 2001, we have a very rare and now iconic Taylor “Gallery Series Living Jewels” Dreadnought. It features Big Leaf Quilted Maple for the back and sides, and Bearclaw Spruce on top. Aside from its obvious beauty, this guitar is unique—#97 of 100. Not to be coy (pun intended), it’s also famous. This model has been used occasionally by the one and only Taylor Swift. The Gallery Series inlay art is based on the works of Pete Davies Jr., who worked at Taylor Guitars with his parents. The series had two other variations: one with sea turtles and another with Gray Whales. This particular Koi variety is the model Miss Swift is renowned for rocking out with. This guitar is ornate and intricately detailed. The chatoyant qualities of the timbers take on new meaning, considering the Koi fish inhabiting the fingerboard and rosette.
