Mervyn Davis Smooth Talker SSBT2 Baritone African Kiaat/Sitka
Mervyn Davis has created a fresh and exciting guitar design that is not only artistic and eye-catching but completely musical and practical. His Smoothtalker design concept features very stiff back and sides, not unlike what many modern makers are doing these days, and a fan braced Spruce top that because of the body design is extremely lively and responsive. Soundports in the waist and near the neck flood the player with the beautiful voice. The result of this design is an instrument with serious projection and extreme clarity. The trebles strings simply soar, with more density and volume than the average guitar. The bass is focused and clear also with profound power. This Smoothtalker Baritone is simply amazing, the even articulation up the entire fingerboard is very useful on a Baritone and allows every note to ring true. It easily goes down to low A and remains clear, not muddy at all. The Smoothtalker also comes outfitted with a Baggs Active Element and a deluxe Cedar Creek case. 2003-2004 Greven FX Herringbone Custom Lacewood/Adirondack Red
John Greven’s FX design is an expanded 000 shape, imagine a 000 but a bit wider in the upper and lower bouts. The concept provides for a big, oversized 000 voice that has the focus and power but added bass and overall volume. The bass notes on this gorgeous Lacewood guitar are nearing the Dreadnought territory, big and bold. The overall energy is great, alive and vibrant, as Grevens tend to be. This one can be fingerpicked or flatpicked, it’s quite versatile.

2004 Hoffman HGC Cocobolo/Bearclaw Sitka
Cocobolo is a Rosewood revered for its warm Brazilian like tone and clarity. It is also very beautiful with deep red hues and distinct black grain lines. Charlie Hoffman makes the most of Cocobolo on this guitar employing it for the body, fingerboard, headstock and rosette. 2007 M. Tezanos Maestro Brazilian/Red Cedar
Well known for his work with Teodoro G. Perez under the name M. Tezanos-Perez, Mariano Tezanos is a second generation luthier with a gift for building wonderful instruments in the Spanish tradition. His father Mariano Tezanos Sr, was the forman in the Ramirez III workshop and taught Mariano to craft. This concert guitar is of the highest quality and features a beautiful set of Brazilian Rosewood with a dramatic center section in the center. The Red Cedar top presents perfect grain and produces a powerful and sweet sound. This is an exquisite example of a modern Spanish guitar with lineage back to Jose Ramirez.

New Bamburg Signature JSB Macassar Ebony/Carpathian
