A brand new (2024) Urlacher Concert Cutaway, crafted from remarkable fiddleback mahogany and German spruce. With comfort bevels, a sound port, and some incredible craftsmanship at work, this guitar is a true masterpiece. The rosette and headplate inlay feature a Charles Rennie Mackintosh-inspired check design. The guitar offers a comfortable feel and an expansive sound. The natural materials truly speak for themselves. With a 25″ scale and a 1 3/4″ nut width, it’s a fingerstylist’s dream. We hope this is the first of many more from Rebecca Urlacher of Bend, Oregon

This Collings D2H MRA comes to us from 2010 with some good music already under its belt, and a hungry eye for more tunes to consume. Madagascar Rosewood body with Adirondack Spruce top and herringbone trim, Ivoroid bindings, Waverly tuners, and a hard V neck profile that will feel right at home for many a bluegrasser. Additionally, we’ve got a K&K Pure Mini pickup installed that’s ready to go, and all of this comes wrapped up in a Collings TKL case with green interior.

2007 Martin MC-DSM, Koa/Italian Alpine Spruce
The MC-DSM, Martin Guitars’ “District Sales Manager” model from 2007, is a unique and seriously cool piece. The specifications of this guitar were designed by Martin’s sales staff, and it is number 17 of 100. Featuring Koa back and sides with an Italian Alpine Spruce soundboard, this guitar boasts the M body size, also known as “0000.” With a 16″ lower bout, it’s what we consider a large-body guitar. Equipped with a Fishman Matrix pickup system, this axe is ready for any gig. This is a rare example from Martin Guitars that won’t break the bank!

1965 Martin D-21, Brazilian Rosewood/Sitka Spruce
From 1965, we have an incredible Martin D-21 with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and Sitka Spruce on top. It features Martin D-21 appointments and 59 years (at the time of publication) of aging. This is a classic dreadnought guitar at an excellent value. With nicely aged Grover tuners, this guitar is solid as a rock.

This JB-16 is dressed up in Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce, a classic combo for a very modern instrument. Gold Evo fretwire, a multiscale sitting at 24.9-25.4″. And a soundport to boot. Quintessential Sexauer sound that does not disappoint!

2024 Flammang J60CW, Brazilian Rosewood/Sitka Spruce
We love the work of David Flammang, and we have a particular soft spot for his sloped shoulder dreadnoughts. This guitar features sweet Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides, as well as Sitka Spruce on top with gorgeous medullary rays. It embodies the classic Gibson/J style acoustic with parallelogram inlays, rope-style trim, and a crow’s feet center stripe on the back. Beautiful, comfortable, and this thing sings. 2007 Froggy Bottom K LTD, The Tree Mahogany/Adirondack Spruce
This Froggy Bottom Model K Limited comes to us from 2007. What a remarkable guitar! The folks at Froggy Bottom certainly have mastered the formula for jumbo-sized guitars. With Adirondack Spruce on top and “The Tree” Mahogany for the back and sides, this instrument is heavily adorned with abalone and comes equipped with a Fishman Rare Earth Soundhole Pickup with Microphone. Koa bindings outline a gorgeous abalone trim, and there’s a delightful surprise on the heel cap—a frog inlay, which is very on-brand. This guitar has been well cared for and played enough to be fully awakened.

2019 Taran DS5, Macassar Ebony/Master Grade Swiss Moon Spruce
2019 Taran DS5 in Macassar Ebony and Swiss Moonspruce. DS stands for “Dowling Signature,” and you can feel the care and intention put into this build. Five years old at the time of publication, you can sense the sonic maturation of the guitar, which likely sounded lively right from the start.
