1996 Klein L-45.7 Brazilian/Spruce Owned By Andy Summers
We have honored to be able to offer our customers this amazing Steve Klein L-45.7 guitar that was owned by Andy Summers of The Police. This is extraordinary provenance, that makes this guitar even more collectable and enjoyable(See letter from Andy below). But the truth is this is just an amazing guitar. This Klein’s WEDGE shaped body is a wonderful size that offers the lush bass response Klein is known for, but it’s nicely balanced with shimmering trebles and together they create the unmistakable Klein sound made famous by Joni Mitchell, Bill Frisell, Martin Simpson and of course Michael Hedges. This guitar is crafted from the finest Brazilian Rosewood, topped with Spruce and adorned with wonderful artistic details as only Steve Klein can imagine and execute.

2007 Victor Guitars Healdsburg 2007 Australian Acacia/Italian
From the 2007 Healdsburg Festival. Victor Guitars is no longer in business, so this is a rare one. This Victor guitar was crafted for the 2007 Healdsburg Guitar Festival, and features Australian Blackwood and Italian spruce accented with Indian Rosewood bindings. This guitar is lightly built and very vibrant, and particularly adept at fingerstyle. The tone is bright and forward, the setup is wonderful and it is easy to play. The oval sound hole, scalloped fingerboard and unique design elements give this guitar a lot of style. The builder, Edward Victor Dick, is now focusing on building his Banjola instruments, so this is a rare find.

2007 Mustapick GC Sapelle/European
Matt Mustapick is an up-and-coming luthier who we’ve known for some years. We’ve watched as he explores and hones his craft. We’ve always been impressed by his enthusiam for his art and his willingness to experiment. This Grand Concert is crafted from Sapelle and European Spruce and adorned with simple appointments that let the woods shine. It has a lovely fingerstyle voice that we know our customers will enjoy.

2001 Greenfield G1 Ziricote/European
This is a unique opportunity for one of our customers to obtain one of the finest guitars being made at a wonderful price. After being built this guitar was damaged in transit and repaired by Michael Greenfield. The repairs are only visible on close inspection and the guitar is completely stable and has been since 2001 but the price is drastically reduced. This beautiful G-1 is built from Ziricote and European Spruce with a Cutaway. It has that magical Greenfield combination of clarity, power and sweet, sweet trebles. 2005 G.V.Rubio Flamenco Cypress/Spruce
Here we have a traditional Flamenco Blanca from famed maker G.V. Rubio. Crafted from solid Cypress and Spruce the powerful sound of this instrument fills the room. The traditional friction pegs keep all the tone in the guitar and work perfectly. The action is set perfectly for easy play and that Flamenco growl.
2004 Ovation 1769-ADII, Al Dimeola Composite/Spruce
Al Dimeola was a very influential player for many modern guitarist. He pushed the limits of guitar playing both technically and stylistically. The Ovation model bearing his name was designed for his style with a slender, fast neck and configured with a pickup system ready for the stage. This one is absolutely mint and not only is the label signed by Al Dimeola but the back of this guitar is signed by him as well. A true collectible Ovation Guitar.

2008 Romero Banjo Cherry Rim/Honduran Tone Ring Goatskin Head
This Romero 11″ open back banjo truly has the Old Time sound. It’s mellow and round not at all harsh. It plays with ease and is absolutely gorgeous with it’s solid wood construction and lovely appointments. The fingerboard is adorned with a custom evening sky inlay of white mother-of-pearl and silver. and the L-shoes are Star shaped continuing the theme. The natural goatskin head adds to the vintage look and planetary gears make it easy to tune.

New Brondel B-2c Cocobolo/Carpathian
Here at Dream Guitars we constantly search for makers that offer something special. We’ve been following Laurent Brondel for several years as he worked at Bourgeois guitars, with Dana Bourgeois and John Slobod and now on his own. At this year’s Montreal Guitar Festival we were wowed by his guitars once again. We just had to bring this little beauty back to Dream Guitars for you, our customers. This Brondel B-2c, is a small body(00) design with simple lines and an elegant aesthetic. It features a cutaway and a fully adjustable neck joint, allowing for neck angle adjustments to insure perfect action at all times. Crafted from gorgeous Cocobolo Rosewood and Carpathis Spruce the voice is rich and vibrant. We are proud to present Laurent Brondel.
2008 McPherson 3.5xp Brazilian/Adirondack
Here we have a McPherson 3.5xp crafted from Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce. It’s unclear if McPherson will continue to make Brazilian guitars so this is a great opportunity for our customers. This is of course a classic wood combination that has been proven for a hundred years to produce a voice that is clear, strong and musical. This McPherson is all of those and plays beautifully as well. The offset soundhole works very well in their design and offers the player an earful of beautiful tone.

2006/7 Collings D1A Varnish Mahogany/Adirondack
What can make a Collings D1A even better? ….Varnish! Here we have a wonderful Collings D-1A with the upgraded Varnish finish which allows for more freedom for the body to vibrate and give it’s all. This one is already very alive with it’s wide-grain Adirondack top. This one comes to us from a Collings collector with great taste. It’s in excellent condition and has exceptional tone. We are seeing very few used Collings with the Varnish finish, so don’t hesitate on this one.

2008 How GC Mahogany/Mahogany
This is a wonderful vintage style small body guitar from John How. It is modeled after the old Oscar Schmidt guitars. The Mahogany body and X-Braced Mahogany top offer up a wonderful bark, this guitar is punchy with a perfect sound for Blues, rags and Old-Time music. John always adds wonderful details like the mustache bridge and his lovely shaded finish for vintage charm.

2001 Greenfield G4 Figured Koa/Cedar
Michael Greenfield’s G4 model is a manly guitar, a Jumbo with a 17″ lower bout designed for the player that wants power and big bass projection. This guitar is also surprisingly balanced and happy played fingerstyle or strummed. The body is gorgeous Koa and Red Cedar, a proven combination for clarity and warmth and there is plenty of headroom in this monster, don’t believe all you read about Cedar, it is a powerful wood in the right hands. This beauty also sports DUAL BEVELS, a side soundport and a K&K Trinity dual source pickup with the Quantum Trinity Blender included (a $500 pickup system). 2000 Ramirez Centenario Premium Old Brazilian/Cedar
This Centenario, the premier instrument made by Ramirez, was hand selected by our own Paul Heumiller. He chose this guitar not just because it is the finest model Ramirez makes, but for it’s uniquely amazing voice. It is rich and clear with wonderous sustain and power. Every string is alive and musical. Only the finest materials are employed for the Centenario model, from the Ramirez website: “The Centenario Guitar is built in commemoration of the first centennial of the firm, founded in 1882. 2007 Santa Cruz RS Mahogany/Sitka
Here we have a mint condition Santa Cruz RS model slope shoulder dread based on the old Gibson Roy Smeck design. This is a 12 fret dread with wider nut and saddle spacings so it has the ability to go fingerstyle or flatpick. This is a very versatile design that is perfect for strumming, solo work and fingerstyle pieces. It really does it all. The body is full of energy and power and the sunburst is gorgeous.
