This Romero 11″ open back banjo truly has the Old Time sound. It’s mellow and round not at all harsh. It plays with ease and is absolutely gorgeous with it’s solid wood construction and lovely appointments. The fingerboard is adorned with a custom evening sky inlay of white mother-of-pearl and silver. and the L-shoes are Star shaped continuing the theme. The natural goatskin head adds to the vintage look and planetary gears make it easy to tune.
I love this banjo the tone is rich and sweet and the short scale plays like butter. It has numerous custom features and beautiful inlay work all in the 'night sky' theme. A wonderful Romero banjo. 
This is a great short scale old-time banjo. I have one very much like it that I tune up to A for all of those fiddle tunes that are in A and D.
