A real piece of magic from Bill Collings and co., this 2000 0002H BaaaA has opened up handsomely and is wide awake. Tons of projections for a 000, and a great playing setup that works for both flatpicking and fingerstyle—this thing does it all in high style. Killer Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides with Collings’ AAA rating, paired with Adirondack Spruce on top. Herringbone top trim plus slotted headstock, Waverly tuners, and Maple bindings on the body. Moreover, this Collings comes in a custom Calton flight case to keep it safe and sound on those rare moments when you don’t have it in your arms!

2017 Olson 40th Anniversary SJ Cutaway, Brazilian Rosewood/Sinker Cedar
We’ve seen a number of incredible Olsons over the years, and lately we’ve been lucky to see even more. This one is a particularly juicy gem, the only guitar Jim built in commemoration of his 40th anniversary as a builder! Accordingly, only the highest grade Brazilian Rosewood was used for the back and sides, paired with a golden-brown Sinker Cedar top and 42-style Abalone trim. Flamed Koa bindings pair up with a full vine inlay along the fretboard and headplate, with a Brazilian Rosewood backplate to set off the Gotoh tuners. The classic L.R. Baggs LB6 pickup was installed by Jim at the time of construction, and this fantastic SJ Cutaway has been lovingly cared for these past three years.

2009 Brondel B-2CA, Cocobolo/Carpathian Spruce
2009 Brondel B-2CA — the B-2 is Laurent’s 000/OM body size. This example features some incredible Cocobolo for the back and sides, paired with Carpathian Spruce on top. It also includes something quite rare: an adjustable neck. Visually striking, this feature is also a highly effective way of maintaining long-term playability. With 12 frets to the body and a wider nut at 1 25/32″, this is a fingerstyle machine — though it also handles a flatpick quite well. Very versatile, visually compelling, and a great opportunity to own an excellent guitar from one of the finest luthiers around. This guitar recently went through the workshop of Laurent Brondel and received a clean bill of health, so it’s ready for more action.

2018 Martin 00-12 Custom Shop, Claro Walnut/Adirondack Spruce
2018 Martin Custom Shop 00-12 — featuring a stunning three-piece Claro Walnut back and sides (yes, you read that right) and an Adirondack Spruce top. Style 12s are relatively uncommon, and especially rare with a three-piece back made from Claro Walnut.
This guitar offers incredible value for the price. It boasts a full soft-V neck profile, herringbone trim, and a devastatingly beautiful sunburst top. While it may have the stature of a “couch guitar,” it delivers a voice worthy of the stage and studio.
This small but mighty fingerstyle machine is a true joy to play.

From 2008, a rarity from the workshop of Jim Olson: a Jumbo 12-string. Yes, you read that right—a 12-string Olson. Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, Spruce on top, and classic abalone appointments. This guitar was refinished by Jim Olson himself in 2023, coming to us today with essentially brand new condition. On top of that, the setup is silk smooth, even moreso for a 12-string. As far as we know, this is the last Olson 12-string ever made. Custom Calton case to keep all this goodness safe and sound. So get it while you can!

Jim Olson #1400 – Collector Series SJ in Brazilian Rosewood
To commemorate his 1,400th guitar, Jim Olson has crafted a Collector Series SJ from 2012 that reflects the detail, refinement, and musicality that define his work. Built from highly figured Brazilian Rosewood, this instrument showcases Olson’s nuanced aesthetic and tonal sensibility.
The guitar features Paua abalone top trim with a Style-42 fingerboard extension, and matching back perimeter and end wedge detailing. A Paua-bordered headstock frames a solid 14K gold infilled “O” logo, a subtle yet striking signature touch.
A wide Paua and Brazilian Rosewood rosette anchors the top, while the peghead back veneer and neck, also Brazilian, is accented with WBW purfling for added visual depth.
The fingerboard is brought to life with a custom inlay by Larry Robinson, featuring solid gold vine work interwoven with various shell elements—offering a quiet sense of celebration for this milestone build.
A refined, richly appointed Olson—designed to honor a remarkable career of craftsmanship and tone.

Just completed by luthier Bill Tippin, this custom Forte model is a build we were proud to help bring to life. Designed for a serious fingerstyle player, the guitar delivers the responsiveness, clarity, and craftsmanship that Tippin’s instruments are known for.
The back and sides are crafted from Madagascar Rosewood, offering depth and richness across the tonal spectrum, while the Adirondack Spruce top provides strong projection and dynamic range. Together, they create a voice that is balanced, articulate, and well-suited for intricate playing.
Appointments include Abalone trim, a side soundport for enhanced player feedback, and refined African Blackwood details that complement the overall build. Tippin’s signature 12th fret inlay marks the fingerboard—a quiet nod to his consistent attention to detail.
This Forte is clean, elegant, and highly musical. A strong example of what Bill Tippin does so well: build guitars that are as enjoyable to look at as they are to play.
