A spectacular 2025 Robbins R.1, this custom left-handed model was built for one of our clients. If you’re familiar with Tyler Robbins’ work, you know each guitar is a wholly unique creation — an individual expression of voice and vision.
This R.1 comes with a set of African Blackwood for the back and sides, paired with an Italian Spruce top. The tonewood combination alone promises clarity, depth, and powerful overtones, but what sets this instrument apart is Tyler’s signature aesthetic sensibility. A custom puzzle motif adorns the rosette and continues onto the back — a striking design element executed with extraordinary precision. The inlay work is truly next level.
Built with the modern fingerstyle player in mind, this guitar includes both arm and rib bevels for effortless comfort, and a full 25.5″ scale for power and articulation. The headplate sports a red resin inlay, and bloodwood appointments add richness and contrast throughout. EVO frets and a polyester finish round out the build.
Make sure to listen to the demo and hear for yourself why Tyler Robbins continues to be a standout voice in the world of contemporary luthiery. This is modern guitar building at its finest.

We see a lot of incredible guitars here at the shop. We may be biased, but we strive to only have the best. When this brand-new 00 from Julian Gaffney came through via our DreamWeaver program, we all had to collectively pick our jaws up off the floor.
Reserve-grade Cocobolo and German Spruce on top—this little beast truly floored us. So much power, clarity, headroom, and dynamism in one small guitar.
Along with impeccable visuals, the craftsmanship involved in the carving and embellishments of this guitar alone is high art. To have all of these elements come together in one instrument is truly rare.
You normally don’t see guitars that have everything—and have everything done exceptionally well. But this 00 is the exception to the rule.
Please, listen and take a look at this work of art.

Velvet to our ears. This 2015 Kraut 00 is stunning, a testament to modern lutherie and small bodied guitars with big bodied tone. Figured Birdseye Maple back and sides, Italian Spruce on top, and this one features Ray’s elevated fingerboard, which you’ll see actually goes through the top. In excellent condition, this Kraut has sweet, warm trebles that cut right through the mix, and pairs handsomely with a lively, balanced bass response. It’s an excellent fingerstyle instrument, hands down. Alessi tuners, Ebony bindings, and a Hoffee flight case round out the package. We love Ray’s geometric eye when it comes to his rosettes, and the headstock cap here is no exception, perfectly executed.

This one sold before we could even list it!
Our very first guitar from Judd Riviere! Judd is a dear friend of the shop and one of the few local luthiers we represent. This OM from Riviere Guitars is decked out in Honduran Rosewood and Swiss Moon Spruce, featuring one of Judd’s signature rosettes, a cutaway, and an arm bevel. Aesthetically, it doesn’t get much better than this—and sonically, it’s just as impressive. Rich overtones, excellent sustain, and clear note separation—big and lush. The neck profile is quite full, with a 1 3/4″ nut width and 2 5/16″ spacing at the saddle. The fit and finish are immaculate, and while you can see Judd’s lineage from his work with Jason Kostal, this guitar is very much his own creation. We are so excited to see what’s in store for Judd. Keep an eye on this builder!

Steve Klein and Steve Kauffman continue to push the envelope, and after so many years they’re still finding new ways to do so. This 2020 396L is their smaller body they’ve been building for years, and with the L designation they slimmed the sides here for a more intimately proportioned Klein. The tone has an added dose of energy and quickness as a result, among other things. Indian Rosewood back and sides are paired with Engelmann Spruce on top, a light sunburst to boot, and their latest iteration of the side access panel—this time with magnets, it hinges at the center when pressed from the treble side, granting you instant access to the interior for string changes (note the string through bridge here), pickup modification, the works. All wrapped up in a custom Ameritage case that protects well and looks good while it’s at it.
