Here we have a 2009 Huss & Dalton TD-R Custom dreadnought in gorgeous Brazilian rosewood and Adirondack spruce. Thanks to this classic combination of woods, it has all the tone, projection, and balance we’ve come to revere in the finest dreadnoughts. Basses are strong and articulate, and trebles sing out with clarity and cut. And to boot, this one works equally well for fingerstyle as well as flatpicking thanks to its thoughtfully shaped neck and 1 3/4″ nut width.

1973 Contreras I 1A Brazilian/Cedar
Here we have a classic Brazilian rosewood and cedar top Contreras concert guitar signed by Manuel Contreras I and dated 1973. Structurally stable with great playability and upgraded with Schaller tuners, this guitar does have a lot of play wear and finish checking. So it is a player condition Contreras offering Brazilian rosewood and all of the tone that Manuel was known for, at a reasonable price.

2011 Traphagen 000-BRS 12 Fret Brazilian/Adirondack
This is a Traphagen 000-BRS 12 Fret in Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce. This small body guitar has a huge voice, big warm bass well beyond what you might expect from the smaller body. This is a grand Lowden F-50C custom in highly figured Claro Walnut and topped with Red Cedar. The 50 series represents the Custom Shop at George Lowden guitars. They reserve their finest woods and they are hand crafted by their best crafstpeople. This beauty includes Tasmanian Blackwood trim further enhancing the natural beauty of the fine woods. There is also an armrest Bevel, a DTAR Mag Mic pickup system and it comes with a Hoffee Carbon Fiber Flight Case, our favorite.

New Applegate FS Cocobolo/Moon Spruce
This is a custom Applegate FS model featuring stunning quarter sawn Cocobolo Rosewood and a Moonspruce top. Moonspruce is European Spruce harvested in a very old tradition where they fall the tree at the phase of the moon when the sap is down in trunk and roots. We’ve seen enough Moonspruce guitars to be big believers, it’s very special. DG owner Paul Heumiller plays Moonspruce on several of his guitars. But it doesn’t stop there, Brian Applegate also added a side soundport and a unique and elegant rosette of interlacing Abalone Diamond over Bocote wood.
Be sure to listen to the clip with headphone, you’ll want to enjoy the full and present melody notes this FS model produces. So lyrical and alive, like a human voice. A perfect fingerstyle guitar in a small body that is a joy to hold and behold.

2000 Ruck Classical Indian/Cedar
Here’s an exquisite Robert Ruck Concert guitar crafted in the year 2000. It features several of his innovative features including dual soundports and an elevated fingerboard. It is also a short scale, so at 640mm it is very easy to play. The sound chamber is Indian Rosewood and Red Cedar creating a voice that is at once warm and seductive and powerful and alive. Solid Silver Rodgers tuners offer the feel of precision when you tune this guitar. This one comes to us from a University Professor and it has a sound that comes only when years of great playing have vibrated through a fine instrument. This is as good as it gets.

2009 Kim Walker OM-42 Brazilian/Adirondack
Here is a rare custom Kim Walker OM-42 in Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce. 42 Style trim really makes this beautiful vintage style guitar shine. There is also a custom Floral inlay on the headstock as well. The voicing is all Kim Walker, one of the very best at capturing that pre-war Martin sound but doing so in a modern collectible guitar with perfect action and playability. What a joy to experience.

Paul is an innovator who really knows how to build what players need and want. The Super Ace has a deep cutaway and an extended fingerboard providing full access to all 24 Frets. There is an onboard RMC pickup system as well, just plug in and play. 2011 Schenk GK Concert Windwalker Tiger Myrtle/Cedar
Tiger Myrtle and Cedar give this Schenk GK Concert Windwalker a very distinctive voice the key elements of which is clarity and separation. The treble strings are so strong and lyrical, your melodies command attention. Tiger Myrtle wood has a very natural, woody voice that blends with the Cedar’s warmth making for a sweet and lush envelope of sound. There is a Microbevel for comfort, a slim, fast neck and the Schenk extra stiff truss rod system that enhances sustain and insures perfect playability. There is also the built in ISD Tuner system that works beautiful. Small fiber optic lights embedded in the side of the fretboard make it a breeze to tune. 2008 Martin 00-18 Tim O’Brien Signature Edition, #36 of 100 Mahogany/Adirondack
This is a Martin Tim O’Brien Signature Edition 00-18, #36 of 100 made. This wonderful limited run by Martin guitars features an Adirondack top that is supported with scalloped Adirondack braces & tone bars and a maple bridge plate. The thin bracing and the stiffness of the Adirondack spruce produces a clear bell-like tone with volume suitable for both fingerpicking and flatpicking.
The soundhole is adorned with a simple vintage style 18 rosette, however the center ring of black has been replaced by an elegantly thin strip of select abalone pearl . Another unique feature of the 00-18 Tim O’Brien is its 25.4″ scale length, which is typically reserved for Dreadnoughts and Orchestra Models. This feature will add to the power and volume of this specially designed instrument. If you are fond of small body Martins and want one with power and range, this is your Martin.

2001 Sexauer 000-45 Honduran/Adirondack
Bruce Sexauer knows how to build a modern guitar with the energy and power of a prewar guitar. His years building 1920s and 30s inspired designs for Eric Schoenberg have given him great insight to building lightweight powerhouses. This 000-45 in Honduran Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce with surely satisfy the fingerpicking blues player, but the voice is also beautiful when you play gently.
The 45 style abalone trim on the top, sides and back is just stunning. The headstock is also adorned with a lovely torch and builder logo. Snowflakes adorn the bridge upon which sit Fossil Ivory pins. This one does have a lot of wear, but who can blame the previous owner for playing it live, we would do the same with this lovely Sexauer 000-45 guitar!

2007 Schwartz Oracle Brazilian/Bearclaw Exciting Design!
The Oracle design by Sheldon Schwartz is one of the most exciting and original we’ve seen. This beauty in Brazilian Rosewood and highly figured Bearclaw Sitka Spruce incorporates a wide array of elements including triple offset soundholes, carbon fibre-reinforced lattice-braced soundboard, double walled side construction, carbon fibre reinforced “X” braced back and a 26 inch scale. Additional features include a beveled cutaway, the bent wood style arm rest, a 5pc laminated neck with 24 frets, a rear access panel.
Now for the sound… listen close and you can probably hear it wherever you are. This is one loud and strong guitar! The Oracle speaks like a Piano, with big, clear notes and tremendous bass response. The offset soundholes insure the player gets an earful and what you’ll hear is a joyful noise! Light players will be rewarded with big sound and heavy handed players have met their match. The Oracle by Sheldon Schwartz is simply remarkable!

This is a custom Kathy Wingert Model E in premium African Blackwood and Italian Spruce. Complete with a beveled cutaway, Armrest Bevel, Side Sound Port and Jimi Wingert designed Rosette in Paua Abalone set against African Blackwood. Kathy Wingert is known for building guitars with big, fat, juicy trebles and round warm bass. This exquisite Model E has her signature voice in spades. The woods are her very best and it clearly shows in the tone. So articulate, easy to play and satisfying down to your soul. Comes in a Calton Flight Case as well!

2001 Fox Sonoma Indian/Cedar
CFox guitars was a company created by Luthier Charles Fox. They produced a line of beautifully built but affordable guitars. This Sonoma model features solid Indian Rosewood with a Red Cedar top. Fully bound in ivoroid with red perfling lines from head to toe. It’s a sharp guitar and a great player. Would make a great gigging guitars as it’s setup with a Fishman pickup as well.
