A one-of-a-kind instrument specially built for Dream Guitars. We gave Bill Wise license to use the absolute finest materials and collaborated on appointments that would allow the natural beauty of the woods to shine through. It is a gross understatement to say that we are thrilled with the results. This guitar is spectacular, the luscious voice and sweet overtones of Bill’s guitars are taken to new heights on this series. And the unique Makore wood trim gives it character. The pictures describe the beauty much more eloquently then we could so we invite you to behold the Charis Dream Series. This is a rare preowned Charis Dream, #2 of 10 ever made.

We first met Steve Fischer when he was heading up Paul Reed Smith’s Private Stock Acoustic division (prior to PRS he built instruments for McPherson Guitars). Michael Keller is one of the most experienced, and in our opinion, talented luthiers on the planet. He is great friends with James Olson, both living in the same area. This is rare gem from 1990 that has been virtually unplayed for 20 years. As if in a time capsule it’s a perfect example of Michael Keller’s early work, it’s historic really. Indian Rosewood and Sitka, this is a large body guitar with a big, warm voice. It has lovely top end and a big bottom as well. It’s versatile and can easily move from strumming to fingerpicking or live in either world. If you are a Keller fan or just a fan of great guitars, this is a rare find.

There’s a lot to like about this 1962 Gibson Barney Kessel model. Its famous namesake was of course one of the most highly regarded jazz guitarists of his era – playing on countless recordings by the very biggest names in the business – including Oscar Peterson, Sonny Rollins, Milt Jackson – and countless others.
The Kessel model is a nice jazz box with a slim neck and super fast action. It can get a wide range of tones from its humbuckers, but to our ears it fares best when played on the clean side. That said, a bit of overdrive sounds really great with this vintage beauty too. Its attractive double Florentine cutaway shape is finished in a very pretty cherry sunburst.
1986 Contreras Concert Double Top Brazilian/Cedar
Here is a player’s condition 1986 Manuel Contreras Double Top Concert guitar with a signed label. Crafted from Brazilian Rosewood and Red Cedar in his Double Top construction which employs a back lined with Cedar for extra warmth. The voice is sweet, rich and warm, a fine example from Manuel Contreras I. While it does have a bit of cosmetic wear, it is truly sound and will make a great musical companion for the player who values tone over aesthetics.

Here we have a first from PRS. This is the very First Bronze DG-T finish on a PRS Guitar! We are certain the other-worldly one-piece Blistered Maple Top on this Singlecut Hollow Body I inspired them to try something new. This top is beyond words, so much figure and symmetry. The dark Bronze finish creates a theme that is continued with the Cocobolo Fingerboard, Headplate and Tuners.
Sublime Bird Outlines in 10K Gold adorn the headplate and fingerboard. The Korina Body and the famous PRS Archtop pickups insure a killer tone, but there is also the PRS Piezo system which in our mind, is one of the best sounding acoustic pickups used on an electric guitar, and we are pretty knowledgeable about acoustics;). So wether you are a PRS collector or simply want the best, this PRS is as special as it gets.

We are thrilled to have located a rare preowned Buscarino Cabaret. This example from 2000 features a carved back of Indian Rosewood and a lattice braced Engelmann Spruce top. It also sports John’s own Implant pickup system which makes consistently great sound as simple as plugging in.
Here are some thoughts about the Cabaret model from the Buscarino Guitars Website: “THE CABARET is the perfect blend of traditional classical guitar and an acoustic archtop guitar. Specifically designed to meet the needs of the jazz or fingersytle player, the CABARET is based on the Herman Hauser I classical guitar design. The CABARET incorporates traditional classical building methods with modern innovations necessary for today’s jazz and fingerstyle playing. The graceful cutaway facilitates greater access for playing the upper register of the fretboard. Its carved back, unique among nylon-string guitars, enhances the lower midrange while aiding in projection. The two-way adjustable truss rod gives easy access at the headstock for a perfect set-up.”
The previous owner of this guitar loved it and played it professionally so it shows some play wear, but it’s been fully inspected by John and is solid and ready for another owner to puts some notes through it.

We originally custom ordered this gorgeous CB (Chris Bozung) Special guitar and requested premium Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack spruce for a powerful prewar style tone. From the CB website: “Although the width of the body is slightly smaller than a dreadnought the CB Special’s extra-deep body means that it gives up very little “air space” to its larger-body cousin. The extra depth of the body provides the volume and power of a larger body, while the slightly smaller body width serves to focus the tone. The CB Special, aside from being an exceptionally beautiful instrument, is a pint-sized powerhouse whose surprising volume, clarity and focus of tone will satisfy even the most experienced and discerning player.” We couldn’t agree more, this is a little monster.

Part of Gibson’s Legend Series, the 1937 L-00, was built in 2008 – and based off of a vintage guitar owned by Lee Roy Parnell. One of the earliest guitars in this series, this L-00 came to us from a friend of Lee Roy’s and it’s a cool little guitar. The dimensions are true to the original, with the exact bracing, neck shape, and colors. It also features hot hide glue construction just like the original. A great country-blues guitar, the L-00 Legend Series is sure to offer up hours of great playing!

We’ve been pleased to offer quite a few of Paul McGill’s guitars over the years. Without exception they have been great playing, great sounding musical instruments, built with great care and attention to detail.
This wonderful concert guitar comes to us from the private collection of guitarist and author Bill Piburn who you may know from his work with Fingerstyle Magazine. It has also been recorded by Nashville guitar ace Pete Huttlinger. So it’s a guitar with some provenance.
This McGill Concert is a robust sounding nylon string. It has wonderfully warm bass, that is thick and full without a hint of boominess – just rich detailed tone. The trebles sound excellent all the way up the neck, and played at all dynamic ranges. There is also an RMC pickup system that offer a perfectly balanced amplified sound. This is a professional quality nylon string by one of our favorite builders.
