We all get pretty excited when an A2 model from Laurent Brondel comes through the shop. That model has something pretty special about it; it grapples the line of modernity and tried-and-true tradition in a very unique and beautiful way, both in sight and sound. In every A2, the natural beauty of the materials used carry the instrument, while maintaining a recognizable voice and simultaneously an individuality.
This guitar from 2011 shows why Mahogany is one of the most popular and desirable tonewoods for an acoustic guitar: warmth, clarity, a sonic precision that you don’t always hear all together. Honduran Mahogany and Carpathian Spruce are the main ingredients for this showstopper. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just breaking into the realm of high-end acoustic guitars, this one is for you. This instrument is equipped with a K&K Pure mini pickup.

2013 Buscarino Cabaret Custom — a stunning instrument built with gorgeous Honduran Rosewood for the back and sides, and an Engelmann Spruce/Cedar double top. All the classic Buscarino features are here: carved back, cutaway, and medium-width crossover appointments. You’re not sacrificing the qualities of a true nylon-string guitar while stepping into the crossover world — this one strikes a true Goldilocks balance.
It’s equipped with a Barbera pickup system and showcases some truly unique appointments. Notably, you’ll find Larry Robinson’s custom cat-eye inlays and a beautifully crafted soundport in the shape of a paw print. All the cat clichés come to mind — cat got your tongue, the cat’s pajamas — but the real takeaway is how fun this guitar is to play. Exquisite workmanship, and an even more exquisite voice.

Originally sold by us back in 2010, this Grand Concert from Michael Keller has come full circle, returning to the shop 15 years later. Crafted from a lush set of Brazilian Rosewood and paired with a Red Cedar top, this guitar has opened up beautifully with time and play. The voice is wide open, articulate, and rich with overtones—everything we love about Cedar and Brazilian in concert together.
It comes equipped with a McIntyre Feather pickup system and travels in an Ameritage hardshell case. This Keller is ready for its next chapter with a new player.
From the late, great Al Petteway, who reviewed the guitar when we first listed it in 2010.
“Beautifully balanced and beautiful to look at as well, this guitar is a winner. The combination of a Cedar top with the Brazilian Rosewood back and sides gives this guitar a rich, clear tone that will appeal to most fingerstyle players.” https://youtu.be/DF2RdjN-hBk

$12,480 Add to cartScale Length 25.4 in Nut Width 1.75 in String Spacing 2.125 in Woods Spruce - Sitka, Wenge “Andy’s Gift” by Dustin Furlow – Tablature & Sheet Music Book (Download PDF)
From Dustin:
“Andy’s Gift” is a tune written in DADF#AD (Open D) tuning and dedicated to my friend and extraordinary composer Andy McKee. The time signature is 6/8 which gives it an Irish Jig feel and like with many of my tunes, playing on the left leg is recommended to help engage better leverage for certain sections.
“Rememberance” by Dustin Furlow – Tablature & Sheet Music Book (Download PDF)
From Dustin:
“Remembrance” is a tune written in CGDGCD tuning (commonly referred to as “Orkney” tuning among Celtic players) and capo’d at the 2nd fret to allow for ease-of-play on some of the stretchier chords. Like DADGAD, this tuning allows for open strings to highlight and compliment the melodies while still feeling familiar since the middle 3rd and 4th strings are still tuned to D and G.
“Solitude” by Dustin Furlow – Tablature & Sheet Music Book (Download PDF)
From Dustin:
“Solitude” is a song written in DADGAD tuning that I composed during my first trip to the Netherlands. I was immersed in Andrew York and Al Petteway’s music at that time and did the majority of composing for this on nylon string. As a result, I recommend playing this tune with the guitar on the left leg and if you use a capo at the 2nd fret it will help a lot with the chords in the bridge section.
“The Elder Tree” by Dustin Furlow – Tablature & Sheet Music Book (Download PDF)
From Dustin:
“The Elder Tree” is a song written in standard EADGBE tuning about a memory from my childhood home. It is best performed with a capo at the 2nd fret to help with the chorus section’s natural harmonic melodies which involve a pretty wide stretch. Inspired by the tune “Man with the Green Thumb” by Tommy Emmanuel.
