2018 Santa Cruz 1934 00, Brazilian Rosewood/Adirondack Spruce
Beautiful. Hats off to Santa Cruz for coaxing so much sweetness and articulation out of a single guitar. Using primo materials like this tight Adi top, and curled Brazilian Rosewood too, certainly helps, but we’d wager it’s got more to do with the care and passion that the SCGC team put into pulling off this magic trick. This 00 is built to their 1934 specs, offering a modern approach to the classic prewar formula, and they managed to thread that needle perfectly. Excellent fit and finish, a voice that boasts richness and separation at the same time, and a spacious neck profile for comfortable fretting. What more could you ask for? All wrapped up in a Hoffee flight case to boot.

2001 Lowden O-35c SLE, Brazilian Rosewood/Cedar
With guitars like these in your life, it’s hard to think you could ever have a bad day. We’re big fans of Lowdens here at Dream–George’s team has put out tons of powerhouse guitars for decades now–but there’s something special about getting to visit with an older O-35c SLE (Special Limited Edition) model that’s upfitted with gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood. Add in play time, the alchemy of Cedar as it opens up, and a sweetly rounded neck profile, and you’ve got a recipe for a PMPG: Pretty Much Perfect Guitar. This is number five of a limited run from 2001, has been played in and bears the marks of regular loving use, and is ready for more action. The voice. Is. Huge. Wide open and colorful, but with a particularly crisp and snappy fundamental that you wouldn’t otherwise expect from a Cedar top. So you get the best of both, warm complexity and a well-defined fundamental. Comes wrapped up in a newer Ameritage case.

2002 Taylor LTG Liberty Tree Guitar, Tulip Poplar/Spruce
This 2002 Taylor Liberty Tree Guitar, #37 of just 400 produced, is a remarkable tribute to American history and craftsmanship. Built from Tulip Poplar salvaged from one of the last surviving Liberty Trees—felled after Hurricane Floyd in 1999—this limited edition model pairs that historic tonewood with a Sitka Spruce top for a warm, balanced voice. Its premium features include a scrolled Declaration of Independence inlay across the fingerboard, a soundhole rosette of thirteen stars representing the original colonies, and a Colonial American flag inlaid on the peghead. More than just visually striking, the guitar embodies a deep narrative connection to the nation’s origins. Included with this example are the original hardshell case, a Liberty Tree DVD, the Certificate of Authenticity, and a Summer 2002 issue of American Forests magazine detailing the project. A rare and meaningful piece for players and collectors alike.

2002 Olson SJ, Brazilian Rosewood/Adirondack Spruce
A rarity from the bench of the legendary and luminous figure of the boutique guitar world, Jim Olson—this 2002 SJ features an Adirondack Spruce top (that’s right!) paired with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Both sets of wood are extraordinary examples of their species, with the Brazilian Rosewood in particular showing off the kind of beauty that’s nearly impossible to find today.
We all know Olson guitars are most often Cedar-topped, making this finely grained Adirondack top a rare and desirable deviation. This instrument is in remarkable condition for its age and would make a stellar addition to any collection—especially for Olson aficionados.

2005 Santa Cruz H13L Lucas, Brazilian Rosewood/Adirondack Spruce
A 13-fret fingerpicking wonder here: a 2005 Santa Cruz H13L. The “L” designation, of course, refers to a Nick Lucas–style body—13 frets to the body, and the body itself is rather deep: 4″ at the heel and 5″ at the tail. This guitar has such an overtone presence, it’s quite staggering. Adirondack spruce on top and some mighty fine Brazilian Rosewood on the back and sides. Abalone appointments. A great example of traditional lutherie in a modern presentation. What a treat it is to have this guitar around.

2015 Micheletti Kestrel, Brazilian Rosewood/Sinker Redwood
From the bench of Rick Micheletti, this 2015 Kestrel—decked out in Sinker Redwood and Brazilian Rosewood—lives up to its name. Named after one of the quickest birds of prey, it makes perfect sense for this turquoise-framed axe. Powerful, full, and quick to respond.
As aesthetically pleasing as a guitar can be, you might expect the sound to be a step behind—but not here. In true Redwood fashion, after just a few minutes of playing, this guitar begins to growl. Not that it’s lacking in character from the start—it’s anything but. These two tonewoods work together in magical ways. Get this beauty while you can.

Brand New Applegate SJ, Cocobolo/Western Red Cedar
Brand new and brimming with character, this 2025 Applegate SJ in Cocobolo & Cedar is a singular voice in the modern fingerstyle world. The Cedar top offers a wealth of warmth and sonority, while the Cocobolo back and sides provide bold clarity and projection—an uncommon pairing, but one that delivers a remarkably expressive and powerful response.
Featuring a Venetian cutaway, luminous abalone appointments, and a striking five-piece neck, this guitar is as visually captivating as it is tonally rich. Standard fingerstyle dimensions ensure effortless playability and articulation, but it’s the voice—deeply resonant, articulate, and unmistakably refined—that truly sets this instrument apart.
This is a lot of guitar, with a lot to say. Please check it out for yourself—you won’t hear another quite like it.
