The first Bil Mitchell guitar was built in 1979. That very first guitar began a life long journey in education, consistency, expression, and refinement. Bil Mitchell Guitars are created entirely by hand in his workshop in Pennsylvania. What separate his guitars from the rest are his extensive abilities in all aspects of guitar construction from engineering to unique artistic expression.

In 2003, Bil with his wife Sarah opened the Guitar Parlor in Riegelsville, PA and not only built Bil’s guitars, but also performed extensive repairs and restorations on all stringed instruments becoming a powerful presence in the guitar world. Bil and Sarah went their separate ways in 2016 and Bil closed the Guitar Parlor down in 2020 and set up a new shop at his current home in Hellertown, PA. and is now building the best guitars he has ever crafted
