Description

This is a completely custom, one-of-a-kind Ryan Nightingale Grand Soloist, built in 2010 and wide awake today in 2023. Kevin Ryan crafted this guitar with a set of his finest dark Brazilian Rosewood, topped it with Swiss Spruce and added a long list of custom options. There is an arm bevel with acoustic flutes, Blue Paua Abalone top border, backstrip, rosette and headplate surround. Then to make it truly unique it has Kevin's dragonfly inlay theme that includes two large dragonflies on the fingerboard and headplate and around the rosette as well. Furthermore the back, sides and neck have a satin finish that feels amazing to the touch. The top is gloss so all the Paua really shines. To complete the package it comes with a Calton Deluxe Flight Case to keep this treasure safe!

We've seen a few Ryan guitars here but this is truly a special custom design. Kevin only offers Brazilian on his Signature guitars these days which are north of $25,000. This Nightingale not only has Brazilian, but a killer dark and rich set that really comes out in the voice which is full, rich and very smooth. The satin finish neck feels amazing and is something I do on my own guitars. The Dragonfly inlays are very cool and something Kevin's only done a few times.

The voice has a ton of headroom, especially if you push it harder with a flatpick. If you're looking for a Ryan to keep up with you, you're hard-pressed to find a better one.
