We've long admired the work Bill Asher has done for Ben Harper and other top players. This is a custom one-off UltraTone SC Deluxe Edition with a highly figured Flamed Koa top stained to a beautiful golden brown patina. Bill outfitted it with his Steel-Bucker pickups for a strong voice and gave it versatile wiring with a 16 position Vari-Tone swtich. This guitar can move from sparkling clean to mid crunch to full out screaming, whatever your heart desires. The maple neck and Madagascar Rosewood board have a wonderful feel as well. This is a top notch, custom electric from Asher Guitars of California.
I've been anxiously waiting to receive this UltraTone from Bill Asher Guitars. I felt like a teenager opening the case for the first time, then I plugged it in and grinned from ear to ear. Yes, it's amazingly beautiful, but the tone and the feel are equally stunning. The fret work is perfect and slides and bends are a breeze, I also appreciate that the neck has a little meat to it, something to hold onto. The pickups offer a strong and versatile sound, it's easy to coax a variety of tones from this sweetie as it's outfitted with a 16 position Vari-Tone switch. I also appreciate the little touches like the clear pickguard that let's the gorgeous Koa top shine through. 
This is the ultimate guitar for both Gibson and Fender lovers. It has an amazing sound with such control of the tone that anything is possible. It plays like butter. - Accessories
