Description

Greg German has a background as a highly skilled Illustrator, Animator and luthier with Edward Victor Dick. This experience allows him to create and execute details that most Luthiers wouldn't dare to attempt. This Belladonna, multiscale, steel string is breathtaking in subtle ways. There are extensive inlays on the headstock, fingerboard, soundport and rosette, but all are fine and wooden for an elegant effect. The wild Bolivian Rosewood back and Silky Sitka top give this asymmetrical multiscale a bright, clear tone with just a hint of dark under current. The combination of 25.4 scale on the bass string and the short 24.75 top string offer great intonation, easy and even tension and enhance this guitars ability to handle any tuning you want to use from Standard to low C. What a treat to have this guitar to begin our relationship with Greg German.

This is my kind of guitar, small body, asymmetrical, multiscale, beautiful wood inlays and style that can be seen and heard. I simply love it. I'm a huge fan of the multiscale concept. It offers players a much more balanced tension from bass to treble that is very tangible along with allowing the guitar to move between tunings with ease. The workmanship of this guitar is masterful to say the least and clearly artistic beyond what most luthiers are doing today. The tone is also superb, clear and present with a big sound in a small, comfortable package. Delightful.

This little guitar is really unique and has some interesting tonal qualities. The tone is smooth and dark with just enough edge to make it sing sweetly. The styling is really cool and I think the builder is onto something with this model.
