Description

Every once in a while a unique instrument is put in our hands that is pure fun! This Indian Hill Tenor guitar has us grinning from ear to ear. Tenor guitars have been around for a long time, but became less popular when the 6 string spread across the world. But with a short scale, light strings and a it's powerful bell-like voice the Tenor guitar offers a lot of color to the modern guitarists. It's very easy to play and can be tuned several ways from it's typical CGDA to 'Octave Mano tuning'-GDAE to 'guitar tuning'-DGBE. This beauty is crafted from Indian Rosewood and Zebrawood. Michale Kennedy blended the two woods very artistically starting with the headplate, continuing to the 3 piece back and finishing at the lovely custom tail wedge. Zebrawood was also entwined in the rosette and top perfling giving this Tenor guitar a stunning and natural beauty all it's own.

If you already play some Mandolin you'll be right at home on a tenor guitar and this one a gem. It's also a great way to learn Mando fingerings but with the feel and spacing of a guitar.

Wow, what a big sounding little guitar. Tenors have a their own sound and this one really projects.
