A truly legendary guitar we have here, this 2017 Monteleone Speciale in Maple and Spruce. What a gorgeous instrument, sonically and visually–ample evidence for why John is compared to the likes of Stradivari and DaVinci. Sports a Kent Armstrong pickup, with stunning figured ebony appointments throughout. This guitar belongs on the stage, the studio, even the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This guitar is about as close as one can get to the musical equivalent of Excalibur.

It's always a thrill to have a Monteleone in the shop. John has set the bar for the modern archtop and hearing just a few bars you can see why. There is a real depth and breadth to every note on a Monteleone guitar. It's amazing to me one single note can sound like a choir. Magic.
