Accordingly, this brand new Concert Classical is fantastic: powerful, balanced, and elegant. Dark red Cocobolo body pairs with a Swiss Moonspruce top for lovely overtones and a chocolatey midrange, and Rein adds a slightly elevated fingerboard as well. 650mm scale on a Spanish Cedar neck feels velvet smooth to the touch—indeed, Tom used a sturdy Catalyzed Urethane finish for the body and neck that’s glass-smooth to the touch, while saving French Polish for the top to maximize resonance. The bridge and headstock veneer are both Brazilian Rosewood for an added touch of class.
