Built with a nod to both Thomas Humphrey and Gil Carnal in design, Porter’s Quantum model features an elevated fingerboard and dual soundports, a lattice-braced Cedar top, and dark, even-grained Indian Rosewood back and sides. The handmade rosette is composed of Ebony, Bloodwood, Cherry, and Maple. The voice is agile and responsive, and we appreciate the dynamic range in particular. Sloane tuners and a thin French Polish finish for maximum resonance—and a sterling side dot at the 7th fret for understated fingerboard orienteering.
