Here we have a Double Top guitar from one of Brazil’s foremost luthiers Samuel Carvalho. The top is two layers of Cedar with a Nomex core. This construction allows for lighter bracing and produces a loud, clear guitar. The back and sides are Indian Rosewood and the sides are doubled for added stiffness and greater projection. It’s no wonder a number of Brazil’s top players choose Carvalho guitars including Paulo Porto Alegre and Paulo Martelli.
This is the perfect guitar for the player wishes to add a double top to their arsenal. This one is very well crafted and has lovely tone and plays with ease. The projection is terrific on this instrument. The price is very reasonable for a double top, particularly one of this quality.
