With a moon-harvested Alpine Spruce top and laminated Indian Rosewood back and sides, this guitar showcases exceptional craftsmanship. The design includes an elevated armrest, elevated fingerboard with a negative neck angle, and the pièce de résistance: an adjustable neck accessed through the top of the fingerboard. Additional details include a 12-hole Gilbert-style bridge, custom handmade Rodgers tuners, a natural gloss finish on the back and sides, and French Polish on the neck and top. It’s difficult to continue innovating in the world of modern lutherie, but Michael Greenfield has done it again. Everything about this guitar feels so modern while still preserving all the qualities one would expect from a tried-and-true classical guitar. The presence and responsiveness of this instrument are remarkable—it’s truly refreshing. 
As rare as hen's teeth, and so much prettier. I'm excited to have one of Michael's Classicals in the shop again. He manages to take his brand of "FAT tone" that I find so exciting on his steel strings and adapt is seamlessly for the nylon string form. Moonspruce top is responsive to a wide range of attacks, and lends smoothness and roundness to the trebles. The domed Rosewood back adds some air volume to the box without making the guitar unwieldy. Fit and finish is, of course, immaculate. Lastly, and this is a big one for me, Michael designed his C1 with an adjustable neck system, accessed from the fingerboard, which allows for near instant action and play feel adjustment.
