To our ears, this Kenneth Hill sings with a contemporary American voice. The bass range is clear and articulate and the mids are slightly more pronounced than on some instruments in its class. Its spruce top responds vigorously when projection is needed, yet it is capable of balance, nuance, and sensitivity. Its double top gives this instrument surprising volume, with particularly fat upper mids and trebles. Playability is first rate.
Kenny's double tops are great, this one is loud and clear and warmer than some double tops can be. The playability is excellent which is no surprise. Kenny is a great player himself and builds for the player.
