This is a wonderful example of Master Luthier Thomas Humphrey’s work. A 2006 Millennium model crafted from Brazilian Rosewood and Spruce and featuring all the design concepts that has made the Millennium highly sought after. The elevated fingerboard, sloped top and lattice bracing, all combine to create power and beauty. This guitar projects wonderfully, and a softer touch can coax a delicate voice that mesmerizes. This one is a 650mm scale with a perfect setup. Elegant and sublime.
I never met Thomas Humphrey but everyone in the guitar world speaks of him with regard. He was forward thinking and his designs were all about helping players make music. Holding this guitar it's clear to see why it works. Every note has big energy and clarity, the bass is very strong, but controlled. It has 'gears' you can push it hard, play gently or anything in between and it responds with shades and colors.
