This is a very interesting internal chamber design from luthier Arik Kerman of Israel. It incorporates a floating back with small, light braces and smaller internal upper bout area, imagine a guitars inside a guitar. This gives a focused and powerful sound with excellent projection. The carved upper bout edges act as additional sound hole area. This Metamorphosis model is just that, it looks like a big guitar but has the strong, focus character of a small body guitar. If you are seeking something truly unique and collectible, this is it.
This is the kind of guitar that really excites us. It's so much fun to see something unusual with a radical design concept. Here you have the equivalent of a smaller body inside the regular body. It's like there are two sound chambers. The sound is wonderful and it's constructed beautifully. While not well known here in the States, Kerman is well known in Israel for his guitars and Mandolins.
