Legendary Masaru Kohno began building guitars in the late 1940’s. In the 1960’s he traveled to Madrid and studied at the workshop of Arcangel Fernandez. Within a few short years he was awarded the Gold Medal in Elizabeth’s Concourse Belgium, international competition in guitar lutherie.
This delightful Kohno Special from 1993 is one of the most elegant classical guitars you’ll ever hold. Crafted from Brazilian Rosewood and Cedar, the playability and tone are sublime. Though the back has had several repaired cracks, this wonderful instrument is structurally sound and ready for a lifetime of enjoyment.
