Fans of the Ramirez guitars of the 1960s will be familiar with both Mariano Tezanos and Teodoro Perz. Both were premier luthiers in the Ramirez shop during that time. These two master luthiers created their own shop producing M. Tezanos Perez guitar in the rich Spanish tradition. This concert model is a splendid example of their work, rich, warm tone and excellent power fill the room. This is what a mature Spruce top guitar becomes, just splendid. The body is crafted from premium Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce, a proven combination for world-class concert guitars. The tuners have been upgraded to Reischl, one of the very best.
You can definitely trace the beautifully rich, warm voice back to the shop of Jose Ramirez. This is a truly 'spanish' sounding guitar and I love the tone. The voice seems to surround you and take you away. The projection and clarity are wonderful but it's always lush and remains so up the fingerboard. The balance is perfect as well, I especially like how the trebles are confident. Construction is perfect as you would expect from these two master luthiers and the woods are excellent. This is a top-flight concert 1a.
