We custom ordered this Maingard Nylon String after selling one like it a while back. We were so impressed with the voice and the fresh modern style. This is a traditional fan braced instrument but Marc Maingard adds in his artistic flair on the headstock and by added DUAL BEVELS for the ultimate comfort while playing. The Brazilian Rosewood body is topped with superb Red Cedar that Marc got from famed classical maker Jose Oribe. It makes for a voice that is very musical and lyrical. The melody sings and the bass is both powerful and warm. This is a serious concert guitar but will also please the crossover player as the nut is slightly narrower at 50mm. No wonder players like Earl Klugh play Maingard guitars, see photo below.

We custom ordered this modern Concert model with Brazilian and Cedar that comes from Jose Oribe, the famed classical builder. The bracing is very traditional and offers up a warm and articulate voice. The design has a few fresh ideas as well like the DUAL BEVELS that make it the most comfortable concert guitar you'll ever hold, the Maingard headstock which is refined but exciting and a slightly narrower 50mm nut that will appeal to players of all styles. 
What a nice surprise to see an armrest bevel on a classical guitar. It even has a bevel on the back too. This is the second classical I've played from Maingard and I'm very impressed. The bass strings are piano-like and very strong and the trebles are clear and sweet. Beautiful workmanship and woods throughout. | Scale Length | 26 in |
