Eric Monrad is one of the finest American classical guitar makers. Every one of his instruments that we see are expressive and inspiring. The treble strings on this lovely classical are astonishing in there volume and clarity. It is very easy to be expressive and colorful in your playing. There is more than ample power and projection as well. As players we really appreciate the compensated saddle which makes the intonation superb. Now for the aesthetics… sublime beauty comes from the wood choices. Foremost is the bearclaw European Spruce top, but there are also highly figured Koa bindings, a gorgeous wheat motif in the rosette and echoed on the headstock. Finally there are handcrafted Rodgers Tuners in Brass with Koa buttons.
Simply an outstanding guitar that will rival anything you've ever played. The tone, volume, clarity are all there in balance that is sure to please the most discerning pro or avid enthusiast. Replacement cost based on Eric's 2010 pricing would be $10,500 for this guitar.
