With high profile players like Scott Tennant and Pepe Romero we probably don’t need to tell you much about Dake Traphagen. But if you’ve not had the pleasure of playing a Traphagen guitar you’re missing out. From the first note you enjoy power, great bass response and strong, clear trebles that sing sweetly. This beautifully cared for Traphagen was built in 1994 and features an outstanding set of Brazilian Rosewood with just a touch of natural sapwood. The Spruce top has matured to a golden patina. This is a great example of Dake’s work.
I absolutely love Dake's guitar. He has a voice that is all his own and combines the traditional qualities with the modern power and articulation. This guitar is built for hard tension strings and the notes really fire out and fill the room. The bass is open, warm and round and seems to wrap itself around you. The clarity and balance are present as in all of Dake's work. This one was retopped for the original owner from Cedar to Spruce. All the work was done beautifully by Dake but it does keep the price very affordable on this top end Traphagen with gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood.
