Philip Woodfield is an English maker who has crafted over 200 instruments. His expertise is very evident in this Grand Concert guitar that is latticed braced for extraordinary power and dynamic range. It is so expressive. I love it.
This is the second classical I've played of Palo Escrito wood and there is something very special about the tone. It is clear and balanced with lots of power. The third string is very expressive and matches the other strings perfectly. That alone made me love this instrument.
