Description

This 2012 Baranik Meridian is the complete acoustic package: Wenge-and-Sitka-Spruce body, well-rounded C profile neck, excellent note separation and balance, Florentine cutaway--and of course there's the adjustable neck angle with but a turn of the hex key at the strap button! Mike appointed this beauty in blend of Black Palm, Rock Maple, and Ebony that nicely offsets the dark, straight-grained Wenge sides.

A dynamic response lends itself equally well to both flatpicking and fingerstyle; if you dip your toes into both camps this Baranik provides a lot of versatility for one guitar. With the addition of gold Evo frets for added durability, a soundport, and an Ameritage custom case for elegant protection, this Meridian is ready for many more years of good music.

The bearclaw figure on the Sitka top is quite striking. The voice is well-focused and crisp, and the round C neck profile is easy on the hands.

This guitar has an interesting sound. It's extremely well balanced, and I really enjoyed its responsiveness, especially for fingerstyle.
