All good things come in time, indeed. This Vintage Artist Santa Cruz was born over 30 years ago in the early 1990s, and the intervening years have seen its fair share of good music and play time. As a result, the voice is fiery, mature, with a swelling quality to the overtones that imparts sweetness and power. Slim and quick neck profile feels agile in hand, and the setup is fantastic by any measure, but even moreso for a guitar of this vintage.
Dreadnought enthusiasts and Tony Rice acolytes, this one is for you. With over 30 years of opening up, this German Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood guitar is firing on all cylinders. Incredibly well cared for while still being played, it truly lives up to the “Bluegrass Cannon” archetype. Such a fun and responsive guitar.
