Kevin Ryan’s Abbey model takes the usual Parlor proportions and fills them out just enough to make it a Grand Parlor instead—domed back, 14 inches across the lower bout, and a 25 inch scale come together for warmth and power in equal measure. Add to that a gorgeous set of Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides, and a Sitka Spruce top, and the result is an even richer, enveloping little guitar. Fingerstyle is the name of the game; the setup is silky smooth for effortless playing. Kevin’s slim neck profile fits comfortably in the hand, and it’s easy to lose track of time playing this one. This beauty from 2003 has been very well maintained—hardly a mark on it—and comes wrapped in a Calton flight case for maximum safety.

I’ve always loved this model from Kevin. It’s a great idea to have a slightly oversized parlor guitar that’s easy to hold but sounds bigger. This one has an open voice, wonderful setup and should inspire great music. 
The trebles have Kevin's trademark glassy roundness, and stand out strong in the mix. Sweet midrange too! A slim package but the overtones really draw me in. 1 in stock
