This gorgeous Ryan Nightingale Soloist was built for him in 2003 with premium Brazilian Rosewood (available only on Kevin’s Signature Models these days) and Bosnian Spruce on top, plus Kevin’s ubiquitous arm bevel and a McIntyre Feather pickup system. I’ve played many of Kevin's guitars with Bosnian Spruce tops and they always seem to have a little extra something. This one is no exception. Such a treat to visit with one of Al’s previous treasures. This Ryan Nightingale has tonewoods to die for, and a velvet-rich voice that’s got lots of headroom for just about every fingerstyle application you can imagine. 
Needless to say, I love this guitar. It has been "my" guitar for the past three years and I've used it on three of my own recordings, an instructional DVD and CD, not to mention quite a few studio sessions. It is also on the Grammy Winning 'Pink Guitar' album from 2005. This one was made using the very best woods available. The Brazilian rosewood on the back and sides has a very straight grain and the Bosnian spruce used for the top is tight and even and has great cross-grain. The guitar has been played a lot and the tone is sweet and rich, like a fine piano. It has a custom made nut and saddle and the best sounding pickup system of any guitar I've heard. I wouldn't be selling it if I wasn't already expecting a new one from Kevin and I can only handle one of these beauties at a time. For the lucky person who gets this one of a kind instrument, I'm including a signed copy of my DVD and Book/CD from Warner Bros.
