It is built with Bill’s best woods, and it is the very guitar used on our Youtube lessons by Al as well. This is very simply and honestly one of the top 10 guitars I've ever had the pleasure to hear and to play. Bill Tippin has long been a favorite of ours but this is just not fair, what an amazing tone and the design and craftsmanship are unparrallelled. 
This guitar is particularly important to me as the Crescendo before Al's own model. The voice has opened up, the playability is spot on, and I only regret that Al isn't here to play it again. 
This was the prototype for the Tippin "Al Petteway" signature series so it holds a special place in my heart. This one is number 001 and my personal guitar is 002. It's still one of the best, if not the best, acoustic guitars I've ever played. With all of the extra bevels and heel carving, it's also one of the most comfortable guitars I've played. The woods are the very best that can be purchased for any guitar and Bill Tippin's workmanship has brought this one up to new levels that were unseen before this. I hope whoever gets this one can appreciate how much it meant to me and how special it is.
