Smooth, smooth sailing. Michael Greenfield’s guitars are always a dream come true, and we love this 2010 G2 in African Blackwood and German Spruce. Liquid trebles, well-balanced bass register, pianistic response all along the fretboard—an excellent companion for fingerstyle or picks, and altered tunings feel right at home thanks to the 25 3/4” scale length. Michael added an arm bevel for creature comfort, and a heel “swoosh” carve to help the left hand get around the neck to those pesky upper frets, and rang in the soundhole with a Paua Abalone and Spalted Maple rosette that sets off the German Spruce top with style.
This beauty is as easy on the eyes as it is the hands: the setup is all glass, and the high gloss finish shines just the same. This Greenfield G2 is the complete package.
