We love it when a small bodied instrument packs a big bodied sound. Enter: our 2013 Santa Cruz 00~Skye. Great headroom for a pick, plus clear note separation for fingerstyle, makes for a very versatile instrument. Cocobolo back and sides and Adirondack Spruce top: warmth and power. These guitars have a wider fingerboard with a 1 13/16″ nut, short 24.9″ scale setup, herringbone trim, and slotted headstock. Eric Skye did well to collaborate with Richard Hoover on this signature line.

Eric Skye is a great player and his namesake model is a reflection of that. It's a great design with elements that make for a wonderful fingerstyle guitar from Richard Hoover and Company. 
The string energy immediately grabbed me. Great push, plus clarity between notes, makes for a voice that's at once complex and clear. A serious instrument that very much punches above its weight class, and one that plays handsomely with the wider fingerboard. | Scale Length | 24.9 in |
