This is a sweetheart Custom Shop equally at home with fingers as with picks. What a smooth operator! Martin’s Custom Shop team pulled off a gorgeous bespoke piece with this 2015 OM-28 shade top. Chocolate-brown Madagascar Rosewood pairs up with Italian Spruce on top (one of our Custom Shop favorite Spruces) and a tasty brown burst to boot. 28-style appointments plus herringbone trim on the top and a checkered backstrip behind, Grover tuners, and Ivoroid bindings. The voice is what we’d describe as extra smooth: the bass register is warm and present, filling out chords, while the trebles add a nice glassy flavor on top that blends handsomely with the mids.
