Dream Guitars is proud to announce our latest partnership! This time with Kevin Caton of Caton Guitars. And to celebrate the occasion, we commissioned his Sullivan model with a multiscale fretboard, Madagascar Rosewood, Italian Spruce, and Kevin’s innovative “Bevel Port” in the upper bout. And to boot, a Ryan-style arm bevel on top. The rosette and segmented back strip come in a custom design of Ebony, Bloodwood, and Buckeye Burl.
With a 3/4” spread, the multiscale fingerboard allows for added sonority and intonation while maintaining a natural and familiar play feel in the left hand; we found this Caton Sullivan takes to Open G particularly sweetly. Thus, this is a fantastic guitar for the fingerstylist who wants to dip into alternate tuning territory, but which holds up well under a flatpick in Standard as well. This is the first guitar we’ve taken on from Kevin, and we’re already impressed.
