Michael Kennedy of Indian Hill Guitars has pulled off a mean feat: this Concert model is vocal, articulate, and sweetly balanced. All wrapped in a gorgeous package with Black Limba back and sides and Lutz Spruce on top, soundport, and a tornavoz installed in the soundhole. The voice really is so, so crisp and well defined; it’s an excellent fingerstyle instrument in Standard as well as DADGAD and other more arcane tunings. The neck is finished in satin for a silk-smooth play feel. The body bindings are delightfully rounded for a comfortable instrument-body connection. Really, from tuner to tail this Indian Hill is a bombshell.

Black Limba is a very cool wood, not only in appearance but in terms of tonal character. Here it adds a big round bass note and a woody character to the top end.
