Our latest beauty from Germany’s Wilm Stötzel is just that: gorgeous from tuners to tail, with a voice to match. Here we find Wilm’s Small Jumbo model decked out with Wenge back and sides and an Italian Spruce top, 25.5” scale for a touch added power and projection, and gorgeous geometric motifs at the rosette and headstock veneer. This instrument excels for fingerstyle playing, and has the right amount of depth and clarity to work wonders with a flatpick as well. Naturally, we had a blast with the Stötzel tuned to DADGAD.
The voice is clean, clear, and balanced across the registers, with a vibrant string energy that we really got lost in. And this beauty is only going to open up and open up!

I this is the first SJ model we’ve had from Wilm Stötzel of Germany. And I love it. This is a great guitar for alternate tunings and fingerstyle play, but of course with its big body it’s a happy strummer as well. I really love the clarity and depth of each note.
