This guitar is magic, simply put. This 2021 Traugott Model R has everything one would expect from the workshop of Jeff Traugott, with one curveball. The back and sides are African Blackwood, which is in and of itself a rare enough tonewood, but this is the first time we have seen it on one of Jeff’s guitars. Which makes for one interesting instrument. Not only do you have the power and clarity the Model R is known for, but now there is an extra dimension of low mids that are unique to African Blackwood. The characteristics of the German Spruce are not lost in the mix ever. It is quite like a piano in its sonority, and quality. While we are in the business of providing dream guitars to the world. This is unmistakably a “guitar of your dreams.”

This is the first Traugott I've ever seen with African Blackwood--and of course Jeff would have nabbed a perfectly quarter-sawn, straight-grain set. Hands down prettiest ABW I've ever seen.
