This was a fun collaboration between Paul Heumiller and Don Musser. They opted for Adirondack Spruce over Figured Mahogany and a slope shoulder body, with some extra tweaking to the bracing for additional balance and responsiveness. Half satin neck feels excellent in hand, and as a subtle nod to Dream Guitars, Don inlaid “Dream” at the headstock in our brand font.

So, this is how I build my personal collection. I'm a singer-songwriter, and I want everything that hangs on my wall to give me a different sort of inspiration and to have different sort of songs inside of it. Over the years I've had a number of different Mahogany Dreadnoughts because I love that old Gibson sound but none of them stuck, primarily because of the vintage playability issues. I decided to have a brand new one built for myself and I chose our good friend Don Musser to build it for me. With his decades of experience I knew Don would understand exactly what I was after and he nailed it. He selected beautiful lightweight and highly figured Mahogany for the body and the neck, a superb Adirondack top and then gave it a stunning sunburst and built songs right into it. I've already written a new tune that I love and the guitar is the reason why. Thank you Don! 
It's so cool to see a custom client commission come to fruition! Even more so when the client in this case happens to be Paul himself. Don voiced this one to be extra sensitive, and I daresay he nailed it.
