Michael Bashkin is one of the good guys in the guitar business, very likable and passionate about music and guitar making. It comes through in his guitars, you can tell it was made with passion. This Placencia OM is terrific, very lively and expressive with warm, rich Madagascar/German tone that is complex and endearing. There is plenty of warm bass, captivating mids and shimmering highs. It's all there. This is sure to satisfy the player seeking that OM balance, but with that extra something special.
