This is a Jumbo OM design from Dana Bourgeois, famous for his unique OM guitar designs including his Soloist. This one was made for NAMM 2002 and features Carpathian Walnut that is striking both to ear and to the eye. It’s boisterous and perfectly complimented by a Red Cedar top which adds warmth and color. The result is a powerhouse guitar with the rare ability to switch-hit from fingerstyle to strumming with ease.
Customers often feel Cedar isn't strong, but here's proof otherwise. A good Cedar top guitar in the hands of a builder like Dana has plenty of headroom for all but the most aggressive players. This one sounds wonderful, it's very clear and I really like the way the woods work together. There's plenty of punch, shimmer and warmth mixed together for a unique and lovely voice. Made for NAMM in 2002 it's a special Bourgeois as well.
