We’ve been waiting anxiously for this next Dream Series from Bill Wise. We knew it would be special because we added a few new treats to the already outstanding design which features the best Brazilian Rosewood money can buy. For this one Bill gave us his new armrest Bevel in Makore, a full fingerboard border and a fingerboard inlay of wooden leaves in fall colors. The voice is full of rich color, brilliant highs and perfectly balanced lows. The Charis sound is very special as any current owner would tell you and the Brazilian here really is special, we rarely see it so tight grained and uniform anymore. Bill decided on an Italian top for this one which enhances the clarity and shimmer.
Bill Wise has over years found a voice so wonderful, it's full of complexity and color while remaining balanced and sweet. This particular guitar has an absolutely superb set of Brazilian with perfect uniform tight grain. Far superior to some of the woods we see today and it's paired with a master grade Italian Spruce top which many luthiers prize for its strength and tonal properties. This is the first of our series to showcase Bill's new armrest bevel and he crafted it from Makore to match the bindings. This is a very special Charis in every way... 
This is a terrific combination of woods. The sound is awesome and the armrest bevel makes it extremely comfortable to play. I love the maple leaf marquetry as well. | Scale Length | 25.6000 in |
